2008 Nissan Altima Coupe 2.5 S, a little sporty and quite cheap
The 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe 2.5 S is supposed to be a sports car, or at least that’s what the team at Nissan likes to think. They even categorized the 2008 Altima Coupe along with the Ford Mustang…

Being based on the Altima sedan platform, the 2008 Coupe is smaller, lighter, having 7.1 inches less in overall length and 2.5 inches less in height. Also, the wheelbase spreads further to the corners, and is 4.0-inch shorter. Hood remains the same as on the Altima sedan, while grille and headlights share sport-like aspect.
The engine that powers the 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe 2.5 S is a 2.5-liter four, with a total of 75 hp and 180 lb-ft of torque, doing from 0 to 60 mph 8.0 sec. Not too much, yet not that bad, and just enough for a 3.000 lb (curb weight) car. Transmission is six-speed manual. Nissan also has a second, more powerful version, with a 3.5-liter, 270-hp V6 and CVT. However, this wasn’t seen well by reviewers so far..
The setbacks of this Altima Coupe are soft suspension, due mostly to the multilink rear with antiroll bars, and that is bad news for a sports car. Front tires are all-season, that did poorly in test.

Interior however is a fine improvement, and a big step ahead for Nissan. Support and comfort are the top qualities, sport seats with heavy support are really good in a car like the Altima coupe. Layout is not much different from the sedan model, but in the Altima coupe that panel is a lot more accessible and attractive in the same time.
Cost: only $21,115. Considering also the nice Boss sound system, and that fuel consumption is under 27 mph, the Nissan Altima Coupe will be very desired when it comes out this summer.
