Finally we get something we want - Italdesign Giugiaro has released high-res pics of the Quaranta Concept just before Geneva Motor Show. We’ve been expecting this for a long time for the concept based on the 1968 Bizzarrini Manta Concept for its looks and on the Toyota Prius for its engine.

The Automotive X-Prize contest will be held at the New York Show in March, although the 43 competitors will show up for a preliminary appearance at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2008. The main purpose of the teams fighting for the Auto X-Prize will be providing a production-capable vehicle that exceeds 100 mpg. Aptera, pictured above, is electrig plug-in and plug-in hybrid capable for 300 mpg and it can be retailed for $30,000.
